AE 2027 DFW Braniff International Event, Avgeek Trivia, & More!

As Aviation Expo enters Year 2, we are excited to move forward with our amazing DFW show, June 24-27, 2027 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton DFW Airport North Hotel. Just minutes away from DFW’s Founders’ Plaza, Grapevine, and the airport itself, the Embassy Suites is in the center of it all!

New updates include a special Saturday evening event with Braniff International, a new avgeek trivia challenge, giving back to the aviation community, and an AE 2027 DFW attendee survey. Registrations are ahead of where AE 2026 SEA was at this time last year, and we truly appreciate the early support as we work to make DFW a big success!

Four day registration is $50, and our discounted hotel rates at the Embassy Suites by Hilton DFW Airport North are $174 for a standard room and $193 for an airport view room.

Saturday Evening with Braniff International

We are excited to announce a special Saturday evening dinner in collaboration with Braniff International at the Braniff HQ at Dallas Love Field. The evening will be themed around a Braniff flight from Hawaii to Dallas, giving attendees a fun way to experience Braniff history in addition to providing a fun avgeek social event.

Braniff’s unmistakable style and place in airline history make it a natural fit for an Aviation Expo evening. We are planning a relaxed opportunity to connect with fellow attendees, share aviation stories, and enjoy a little classic airline atmosphere after a full day at the show. We look forward to sharing more as the evening comes together.

Additional information on timing, pricing, dinner details, and registration will be announced as plans are finalized.

AE 2027 DFW Avgeek Trivia Challenge

New for AE 2027 DFW, attendees will be able to put their airline / airport knowledge to the test on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Images of airlines / airports will be displayed on easels, and participants will receive a numbered answer quiz form to identify each image. Prizes will be awarded each day, and the grand prize will be awarded on Sunday before the show closes.

Motorcoach Transportation for AE 2027 DFW

Another improvement for Year 2 is tour transportation. For AE 2027 DFW, Aviation Expo tour transportation will move to motorcoaches, giving attendees a more comfortable, consistent, and organized way to travel between the Embassy Suites DFW Airport North and tour locations throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area.

Transportation details will vary by experience, and each tour announcement will clearly identify pickup times, destinations, pricing, and what is included. Our goal is to make transportation a smoother part of the Aviation Expo experience from the moment attendees leave the hotel until they return.

Aviation Expo Gives Back

As Aviation Expo continues to grow, we want to continue to give back to our awesome aviation community. Continuing the giving back efforts we started with AE 2026 SEA, a portion of Aviation Expo earnings will support a nonprofit organization each year. We look forward to sharing more information about our AE 2027 DFW community partner at a later date.

Preliminary Tour & Experience Information

Aviation Expo 2027 DFW will feature a wide range of aviation tours, behind the scenes visits, flights, and special experiences throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area. The opportunities below represent our preliminary lineup, with additional partners and experiences still being explored.

DC-3 & Stinson Flights at the Vintage Flying Museum

Fort Worth is home to the Vintage Flying Museum, which preserves and operates historic aircraft from aviation’s golden age. We have confirmation of flights on a Douglas DC-3 and Stinson SR 9C at FTW for AE 2027. Attendees will also be able to visit the museum and see its civilian and military aircraft displays. DC-3 flights will be available to book soon.

DFW is home to American Airlines and its headquarters campus, training and operations facilities, and aircraft maintenance hangars. American is one of the largest airlines in the world.

DFW Fire Training Research Center & ARFF

DFW Airport is home to a world-leading Fire Training Research Center. Airport firefighters receive specialized aircraft rescue and firefighting training for aviation emergencies, passenger rescue, hazard mitigation, and emergency response. Attendees will tour the ARFF center, test aircraft, simulators, and experience a fire pit test burn, weather permitting.

DFW Airport Operations

The Dallas Fort Worth area offers incredible opportunities for airfield experiences and aircraft spotting. We plan to offer ramp tours at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and other cool experiences. DFW is the second busiest airport in the United States.

DAL is home to Southwest Airlines and its headquarters campus, maintenance hangars, and other operational areas; they are the most successful low cost carrier in the United States.

CR Smith & Frontiers of Flight Museums

The CR Smith Museum near DFW showcases the history of American Airlines and commercial aviation through interactive exhibits, historic aircraft, and aviation memorabilia. The Frontiers of Flight Museum at DAL features airline, military, and space exhibits.

JSX Headquarters & Hangar

DAL is also home to JSX, one of the most distinctive boutique air carriers in the United States. Its campus features JSX’s headquarters and hangar, offering opportunities beyond the legacy carriers.

Additional Aviation Experiences

The Dallas Fort Worth area is one of the largest aviation hubs in the world. We are exploring additional tours and experiences involving companies and facilities such as Bombardier, Gulfstream Aerospace, Fort Worth Alliance Airport, and more. We will offer as many unique aviation opportunities as possible during Aviation Expo 2027 DFW.

Help Shape AE 2027 DFW

We want your input as we continue building Year 2 of Aviation Expo. Our AE 2027 DFW attendee survey asks about tours, marketplace activities, evening events, scheduling, speakers, and other ideas you would like to see in Dallas Fort Worth.

Designed to Limit Schedule Conflicts

One of our biggest goals for AE 2027 DFW is to make the schedule easier to navigate. We cannot eliminate every overlap, but we will do all we can to limit conflicts between tours, flights, the Marketplace, speakers, and other special experiences.

That means tour opportunities spread across Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, improved Marketplace hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, more speaker programming and activities in the evening, and more intentional timing throughout the event.

The goal is simple: give attendees as many chances as possible to enjoy the tours, Marketplace, speakers, evening events, spotting, and time with the aviation community without feeling like they have to choose between everything at once.

Looking Ahead to Year 2

AE 2027 DFW will take place June 24 to 27, 2027 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton DFW Airport North. Tours and aviation experiences are being planned for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with the AE Marketplace open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

We are excited to use what we learned in Seattle, combine it with your feedback, and continue building a stronger Aviation Expo with great tours, an outstanding marketplace, unique evening events, and more ways for aviation enthusiasts, collectors, and professionals to connect.

Stay at the Center of the Action

AE 2027 DFW will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton DFW Airport North. The hotel offers a complimentary DFW Airport shuttle, free cooked-to-order breakfast, a complimentary evening reception (a great value), and the entire Aviation Expo experience under one roof.
